Here's my cousin, Larry D'Alessandris

 He's cruisin' at Sherman's.
(1952)

Remember those little boats with the bells on the front? Bob Hoffman (Frank Sherman's nephew) and I drove the guy, who ran the boat ride,  nuts by putting live perch, crabs, frogs, bass, sunfish in the water.

We would drop a few cherry bombs (remember those "firecrackers"?) in the water by Sherman's dock and BANG! We then scooped up the few dozen fish that were stunned and put them in the water, along with a few crabs and frogs.

He'd go crazy, early in the morning, trying to catch all the fish, crabs and frogs  before the park opened. The red food coloring, we sometimes added,  practically turned him blue!
