Sherman's Midway in the Fifty's

Ya all remember this "woodchuck" in white, don't ya?

That's Ray Allen! You can sometimes spot him at Fritzi's (Countryside Cafe) when he comes out of his "woodchuck hole." The popcorn machine was just behind him (left). The Gift Shop and Bingo area in the background.

You can see the first Willie's (white roof center left). Frank Sherman made all the wooden boats you see tied up at the dock. He rented them for fifty cents an hour.

Remember the old wooden "Chris Kraft" he had for tours of the lake? The paddle boats?
